Soft skills vs Hard skills

What are the differences? Which is more important?

Soft Skills

Soft Skills, or people skills, are traits and abilities that you develop throughout your entire life. Soft Skills speak to how and why you are motivated to do certain things.

Hard Skills

Hard Skills, or technical skills, are learned through institutional education and hands-on experience. These are concrete, measurable abilities that are often specific to a job.

Both are important for career success!

About The Helicon

The Helicon was established in 2006, primarily as a training academy, and progressed to an association that was established in 2016. We originally consisted of 18 highly skilled Technology professionals, and we developed solutions with our client’s goals in mind.

Unfortunately, due to natural attrition and the aging profile of the Associates, most are no longer active in The Helicon, and this necessitated the closure of the Association in November 2022.

From the wealth of The Helicon’s collateral, we have developed several Hard Skills Frameworks and countless Soft Skills content and felt an obligation to share it, hence the development of The Helicon Growth.
